How do you make your limited account an administrator account on Windows XP pro?

Hey, my computer only has one account but somehow it says it is limited... but there is no account with an administrator on my computer since that limited account is the only account there is.. i cant change it to an administrator because it says i need a computer administrator account to do so... HOW DO I CHANGE ITS TYPE???

At least 1 of the account is adminisrators account in Windows XP.





1. Open command prompt and type net user. You will get a list of all the users of ur machine.


2. From there u can find out which account is the administrators account.





Changing account type





1. Restart your PC and keep on pressing F8 to enter into advanced boot options.


2. Select Safe mode.


3. You will get a Administrative login.


4.Login as Administrator.


5. Now goto Control Panel and open user accounts.


6. Select ur limited account and Click on "Change Account type".


7.You can make him admin from there
