How can someone else withdraw money from my bank account?

My parents forced me to come with them on vacation to another country i hate for six weeks. I dont wanna be here. I have over 3,000 dollars in my bank account. How can i get permission for someone bank in the states to withdraw money from my account and buy me a ticket back to the states? Im 18 by the way

Unless they (1) have your ATM card or (2) are an authorized user on your account it can't happen. Good luck- why can't they loan you the $ and you pay them back when you get here. OR better yet- why can't your parents give you the $
Reply:Sorry Sweetheart - That just is not possible. You and only YOU are allowed to do that, no matter what.
Reply:If they know your account number and have a check. Or have your pin number to your card and have that card. What you want to do is password your account if you want that added protection. Go to your bank and have them put a warning on your account when ever you cash a check. This way when they ask and you have the right password , you only get the money.
Reply:call your bank and ask...it may just take your signature if the account is in your name because they could compare your faxed signature with what they have in their records. They might overnight you a bank check but then on your side you may need an account to cash it, or maybe not, you'll have to ask. It would be dangerous walking around with all that cash and walking over to some travel agent you don't know if you can trust. Why not also call a travel agent in the US that you know and ask how to handle that. Maybe the bank can send them the check (for only the amount needed) to that travel agent. Explain your situation to them and be sure to get names, account number, addresses, emails, phone numbers, etc. in case you lose contact on the phone.


Hopefully you have identification with you and some kind of passport, visa or whatever you need to get home. Be sure to have some relative help you leave at the airport and some relative to pick you up on the other end. Things are so unsafe these days....be careful.

Reply:If you're 18, why did you go with your parents? You could always have refused. You are an adult, after all. However, what is the big deal, anyways? It's not like a vacation is a bad thing (unless you're in a war-torn country or something), so enjoy it! Think about what else you could use your money for, instead of a ticket back home right now, when you know you'll be home in a few weeks anyways.

Reply:You cannot. You can wire the money to yourself, but that will cost a fee. Plus, you will then have to change your US dollars to whatever money you will need in the country you are at to buy your own ticket.





Being 18 doesn't matter. But it is a great age to learn that sometimes you just have to like it or lump it.





If you had been mature enough to refuse to go with your parents in the first place then you would not be in the pickle you are in. Growing up is painful.
