How do i verify my New Zealand paypal bank account? Can anyone help me step by step?

I need to activate my paypal account as soon as possible but i can't send funds because i can't activate my local bank account for i dont know how. it always asks me for credit/debit card but i see that it isnt necessary once you have a bank account. please help.

If you enter your bank account information... like routing number and checking account number, they will deposit small amounts into your account. You need to either wait until you get your statement in the mail, or if you have online banking check online to see the amounts... it may take a few days.





Once you do that you go back to paypal and enter the amount deposited into your account.





If you put a credit card on file you do not have to wait to activate.





If you are trying to confirm your address, you can't unless you are in America.
Reply:I don't think New Zealand has local ach for the paypal system yet. You can add a New Zealand bank account to withdraw money to, but I do not think you can debit the bank account for purchases. It probably prompts you to add a credit/debit card or a US bank account. I could be wrong, but I know for a fact a year ago you could not and think nothing has changed.
Reply:You MUST have an active bank account in order to use PayPal. If you don't, that is the first step. Then, you can go to PayPal, and enter the routing number for your bank account, located at the bottom left of your checks or deposit slips, and your checking account number...listed to the right of the


routing number. PayPal will issue a test deposit within 2 to 3 days to your bank....once that hits your bank account, you must log back into PayPal, and enter the amount of the test deposit, in order to get your PayPal account "verified". This is the only way PayPal can be sure that you are connected with the bank information you give them when initially applying for an account with them.....so, IF you don't have a valid bank account, there is NO WAY you can use PayPal at all.
