Does it cost money to set up an iTunes account?

They don't charge you to have an account, but when you first set it up, Apple will pend a dollar on you account for a couple of days just to make sure it's valid...
Does it cost money to set up an iTunes account?
I think they ask for a credit card number, or a paying aol account. they don't charge you a single dime, unless you happen to purchase a song or any other app. in the store;





if your using an itunes giftcard, obviously they still won't charge you anything, but sadly, you cant use a giftcard in place of a credit card. ive had my account for about 2 years, and i havnt been charged anything, since i havnt boughten anything xD
Reply:yes you can open an account with a gift card or certificate and no credit card needed.
Reply:no, but usually they ask for a credit card but you can use a gift card insstead to pay for the music
Reply:nope, its Absolutely free! but you do have to pay for the songs you purchase, they're $0.99
