Can child support be taken out of your bank account if you currently do not work?

My ? to anyone who may know; if you get put on child support and you are not currently working, can they take the money from your bank account with Bank of America saying you have like 5000$?

You should speak to an attorney. Given your current unemployment, some kind of agreement will need to be reached between you and the child's mom. It is important that you get an agreement worked out now because if you refuse to pay child support, you can be sued for back pay for each month you miss. The statute of limitations for child support start with each miss payment and cover every payment missed.

Hope this helps.
Reply:yes. It varies from state to state but courts have all sorts of mechanisms for forcing compliance with an order. The coolest one is where the court finds out you had the ability to comply with the order but simply refused. That is the one where you go to jail for contempt of court. There are two sorts of those. One is where you go for a definite period, say a month, for your past refusal. The other is known as civil contempt and that is where you go to jail indefinitely, until you comply with the order.
Reply:Yes, a lien can be put on your bank account.
Reply:if you owe it then yea....if ur not working and dont have money then u need to go back to court
