Me and fiance want to open a checking account jointly, can we get 2 seperate check cards, both want access?

We just both want access to the same account, as well have different check cards. I want to be able to have my pay wages direct deposited as well as my fiance. He wants to be the primary and I have no problem with that, but we want seperate cards. Anyone in same situation or just know the best way to please each other.

Absolutely. You will each be issued a card with separate #s and separate PINs, but they will be linked to your joint account.
Reply:If your names are both on the acct you can do it. Just go to your bank!
Reply:If you're both on the acct, yes you can both have a check card. My statement lists the debts separately
Reply:i belive u can.... Try asking your local bank

*pst, i advise u keep a secret bank acount in switzerland, just incase things between you guys dont work out :-) Just kiding
Reply:You can do it, but you shouldn't. Keep your finances separate until you marry.
Reply:Yes, as long as both your names are on the joint checking account, you can both have a check card to access information and account services.

My fiancee and I do that. She has a card and I have a card, and we both directly deposit our paychecks.
Reply:Yep - my boyfriend and I have a joint checking account and we both have debit cards with it too. We bank at US Bank. works great and we both direct deposit!!
