Can I deposit someone elses paycheck into my account if its signed?

1. My cousin lives with me so our addresses are the same


2. He is signing the checks.


3. I use Bank of America.


4. I have his consent





Can I deposit his checks into my account?

Yes, both of you will need to sign it though, you may want to bring him to the bank with you, sometimes they are funny about it.
Reply:Oh, well the above confirmed it for me, generally a signed check is valid as cash/payment, but at a bank they are more strict about it, if the check is made out to a specific person it must have their signature on it and then you must sign it to put it in your account





Generally their signature shows that they got the check and endorsed it so that it is known that the check wasn't stolen(This was the bit I couldn't remember how to do at first)
Reply:He signs it, you sign below it. He is turning it over to you. Ask the bank if they will have problems with it, or if there's anything they need.





May I suggest he get his own account however?
