Does US Bank let you keep your checking account after a bankruptcy?

If i had debt with US Bank included in my bankruptcy, will they let me keep my checking account with them?

Reply:Most banks will allow you to keep your bank account. Be careful though since I could not write checks for a while after my bankruptcy. Going to a debit card only with a keen eye on your bank account is the best way to go.

They don't ask if you have ever filed bankruptcy to open a new checking account.
