This is a civil suit in Florida, the couple resides in Illinois.
If a husband is found liable for copyright infringement, can his wife's wages or bank account be garnished?
No, neither Florida, nor Illinois are community property states.
Reply:yes, but most of the time they just ask you to stop infringing on them, unless he made a lot of money from it.
Reply:If there is no community property, the wife is not liable for the actions of her husband.
Reply:as long as no case can be made against the wife as a co-conspirator, then she is safe.
