What is the highest credit line you've seen, or had upon opening a NEW credit card account?

I have excellent credit 750+ and I'm curious if people have been granted high credit limits when they first opened a credit card account, and also state which branch was the issuer and what your credit score was if you can, thanks.

Reply:Discover Card - less than three years of perfect payment with a 720 score got me a $9,600 limit to start.





Now, with B/A I've worked up to $5,000 between all of my cards over those nearly 3 years. I went from having one Visa with $700 to four cards and nearly $15,000 in less than a year.
Reply:I have seen 20k with a long history and excellent credit.
Reply:I don't pay much attention I think mine have started at about 5K but AMEX might have been 10K. Credit score is between 755-807. They may also look at how much credit you already have. If you are new to credit cards the limits might be around $300.
