If I put in a cheque to leave my account and into my dads account when will it leave MY account?

I will be putting a cheque in to my dad and we are also with the same bank. Will it take the usual 3 days or will it be a virtually instant transfer due to being in the same bank?

It will leave your account straight away and take 3 days to reach your Dad's. The best thing to do would be to cash your cheque and pay the cash into your Dad's. It will then get credited instantly.
