Is it possible to rename your email address or do you have to start a whole new account?

I tried to change mine before but i couldn't. You have to start a WHOLE new account i know i hate it too:)
Is it possible to rename your email address or do you have to start a whole new account?
im pretty sure you have to start a whole new account unles your just trying to change your password or little things but the email address itself you need a new account
