Can you take an xbox 360 to a different house and connect to your xbox live account there?

My friend \has an xbl account at her house, I don't have one here, and she brought her xbox over and we were trying to get onto xbox live but it wouldn't connect. Can you not use it at more than one house?

yes as long as you have an ethernet port or wireless adapter. Have you tried checking the network connection?
Reply:If your friends console can connect to the Internet in your home, then it *is* possible to get live.

Make sure the console is properly connected to your broadband Internet device (like a router or cable/DSL modem) and that the console can access the Internet without problems.

Anywhere the Xbox can connect to the internet, your friend will be able to go online.
Reply:You can set up the same account on different connections.

You will need to set up your account on your friends connection.

If you don't have a connection and she does why would it matter if you can't use your account on multiple connections?
Reply:LIVE works anywhere where there's a router and broadband so your friend's XBL should have worked at your house
