How do you set up a first bank account?

Im 15 years old and looking to set up my first bank account, Any advice on which bank to use and how to go about opening it? Also what is the best deal/sort of bank account to get?

It is easy to open an account, BUT if it is your first take someone with you who knows all the right questions to ask, and if you have anything you don't understand about your account at any time find out to your full satisfaction the reason for it, leaving someone else to look after mine who believed that bank managers were all honest because they appear to be your best friend has cost me thousands, but I found out too late.

Reply:Take a parent and most banks don't charge fees for underaged accounts. Just walk in to a bank which has convenient locations for you and open an account.
