Do you have to transfer funds to your paypal account to shop online?

I transfered 400 dollars from my bank account to my paypal account. I am not sure if i had to do that to buy stuff. does paypal take the money right from my bank account? or do you have to transfer money to your paypal account first?

While it isn't necessary to transfer funds into Paypal for online purchases, sometimes its nice to know that its already there for when you would like to use it.
Reply:Paypal can and will take the money directly from your account. No need to transfer it there first. (This is why they have you confirm the account and input all the information)
